The Nest?

Definitions: Nest:

A place affording snug refuge or lodging; a home.

A place or environment that fosters rapid growth or development.

Those who occupy or frequent such a place or environment.

A cluster of similar things.

To create and settle into a warm and secure refuge.

A Nest is therefore a place of refuge, growth, security, bonding, community, and lest we not forget- Birth!

When I created this website, I was seeking to begin a community of Creative Souls- a place of encouragement and growth. I believe it is never too early or too late to discover and nurture your creative potential. I meet so many artists and crafters in my journey and many of them are subsisting- it’s time for us to leave the “starving artist” mentality behind. It is ok to charge for your art and to put it in front of people and ask for them to compensate you for the creation of beauty. So many of us feel uncomfortable with the idea of growing our art as a business that can actually sustain lives.
